Jacob | Producer, Runner
I’ve spent years producing all types of video content and events; from commercial work to web series to immersive art and music events. As someone who lives with depression and anxiety, I want to use my experience to make good. Through this campaign, I want to document myself defeating a great challenge while breaking barriers - turning the typical victimizing narrative into something purely inspirational and positive. We’re all affected by mental illness, but I’m not going to let it stop me, or stop us, from doing something amazing.

Paige Foskett | Director
Growing up, I too worked through depression with help of moving my body. Dance has always been a vessel for me to tell my story and the stories of others. Most recently, I created and directed a short dance film entitled Ineffable, which explored the ways we use art and our bodies to tell our stories. Directing the creative aspects of Run to Wellness, will be another incredible way to show just that.

Dakota Wotton | Cinematographer
As a filmmaker who has struggled through countless bouts of depression, I want to utilize my storytelling and production skills to help bring this project to life on screen and create an inspiring narrative that can be widely related to. I’ve experienced firsthand how powerful physical wellness and exercise can be when battling mental illness, and am excited to document and display Jacob’s journey across Canada while he struggles to break his own physical and mental barriers. If our story and campaign helps even one person, I think we’ve succeeded.

When Jacob pitched the concept behind run to wellness I knew that this was a campaign I needed to be a part of. Like many of us, I too have personally dealt with mental health from a young age. As part of the communications team I hope that this campaign changes the way we speak about mental health and encourages those to seek help without stigma. We are a team that is changing the discussion around mental health.
